Nottingham Forest are set to make Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga and Nigeria international defender Ola Aina their first new signings of the summer.
United have accepted a bid for Swedish international Elanga. The deal is expected to be worth around £15 million ($19.3 million). If all goes well, the expectation is that the move could be completed early next week.
Forest are also continuing to push to sign Dean Henderson and have held discussions over the last few days with United over both Elanga and the goalkeeper.
A deal is yet to be struck for Henderson, with talks continuing over both a loan move and a permanent switch.
Aina, a full-back, is a free agent after seeing his contract with Torino expire and should undergo a medical today.
The 26-year-old former Chelsea academy product has previous Premier League experience with Fulham, where he spent the 2020–21 season on loan. The London-born player represented England up to under-20 level before being called up by Nigeria, subsequently earning 17 caps with them.
Henderson, 26, spent last season on loan at Forest, where, prior to sustaining a thigh injury, he impressed enough to persuade Forest to make bringing him back a priority. The England international made 18 starts for Forest last season as they made their return to the top flight.
