Ligue 1 defender Guillermo Maripan has revealed who is more difficult to defend against between Paris Saint-Germain forwards Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

Maripan did not hesitate to name the Argentina captain as more difficult to contain than Mbappe.

The Chilean is fortunate enough to have witnessed the greatness of both Messi and Mbappe on the pitch.

The AS Monaco star has come up against both Messi and Mbappe on a number of occasions while playing against PSG in Ligue 1.

“On an individual level, the most challenging is Messi; there is no doubt about that,” Maripan told reporters.

“Mbappe is also, but I think that Messi has been the most difficult to face.”
