The Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe, has asked to leave the club and wants to join Real Madrid in the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old only signed a new three-year deal with the Ligue 1 champions in May.
But it is believed Mbappe “feels betrayed” by PSG’s hierarchy.
The player is unhappy that a number of promises made to persuade him to sign a new contract have not been kept, including new signings in the summer window and his own role in the team.
According to Marca, PSG had already given Mbappe permission to leave in July. But the French club made it clear that he would not be sold to Real Madrid, which is his preferred destination.
PSG, however, would be willing to sell Mbappe to Liverpool, who have failed in their attempts to sign the striker in the past.
