Following Leeds United's unexpected 4-0 defeat against Queens Park Rangers, former Premier League winner, Leicester City are back to the Premier League.

Leicester City now leads the Championship table with an impressive tally of 94 points and only two games remaining, while Leeds remains in second place with 90 points, left with just one match in hand. However, the race for automatic promotion remains intense, with third-placed Ipswich Town closely trailing Leeds with 89 points and still having three matches left to play.

Enzo Maresca's Leicester City side accomplished this feat in their first attempt after suffering relegation from the Premier League last season due to a disappointing third-from-bottom finish.

Looking ahead, Leicester City's final two fixtures are a visit to Preston on Monday followed by a home clash against Blackburn on May 4, as they aim to conclude their Championship campaign on a high note.

Meanwhile, Leeds faces the possibility of slipping out of the top two spots if Ipswich manages to secure victory against Hull on Saturday or if Coventry prevails in their upcoming fixture on Tuesday.

The stakes are high for both teams, as Ipswich stands a chance to secure automatic promotion with consecutive wins, while Leeds could potentially face the playoffs if results don't go their way.

With this development, the Nigerian duo of Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho are now back to the premier league.
