Atletico Madrid is reportedly keeping a close eye on Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, with plans to pursue him once again in the upcoming transfer window.
The Nigerian international was the subject of interest during the winter transfer window, but Leicester City rejected multiple offers to ensure his presence in their bid for Premier League survival.
As reported by Caught Offside, the Spanish giants are expected to revive their pursuit of Ndidi at the end of the season. In addition to Atletico Madrid, other top clubs including Real Betis from Spain and AS Monaco from Ligue 1 are also monitoring the 28-year-old's situation.
Ndidi recently made his long-awaited return to action for Leicester City after a two-month absence due to a hamstring injury. The midfielder, who joined Leicester City from Belgian side KRC Genk in January 2016, signed a fresh three-year contract with the club last summer, securing his future with the former Premier League champions for the foreseeable future.
Stay tuned as transfer rumors swirl around the talented defensive midfielder, whose performances continue to attract interest from top European clubs.
