The details of a fresh talk between Chelsea and N’Golo Kante concerning the midfielder have emerged.
Popular transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano reports that the France international is ’50-50′ over staying at Stamford Bridge
The club’s hierarchy held fresh talks with the player’s representatives over his future as his current deal runs out at the end of the season.
Chelsea is keen on keeping him at the club and wants him to sign reduced terms at Stamford Bridge.
The 31-year-old Frenchman is currently the highest-earning player at Stamford, earning £300,000 a week and he is willing to take a reduced wage.
However, he is not happy with the length of the deal he is being offered—two years.
A newly signed defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, who is 31, was given a four-year deal at the club just five months ago.
Romano claims Kante "loves" the club and is willing to stay, but it is dependent on the proposal.
Kante is said to be "50-50" over staying at the club and is open-minded going into talks.
