It was indeed another sad moment for the Nigerian football federation and the world footballing body at large as they lost one of their great footballer to the cold hands of death.



Isaac Promise, will always ring a bell to the ears of any football lover especially the ones that watched the world youth championship in the year 2005 and the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Promise captained the Nigerian super eagles in the 2005 youth world cup where they lost in the finals to the Argentine team led by Lionel Messi. He also led the Nigerian dream team to the 2008 Beijing Olympics where they also lost to Argentina in the finals. He is not just a great footballer but also a leader as he was been described by his teammates.

His current club Austin Bold Fc announced that the Nigerian international died on Wednesday night at the age of 31. His burial rites will still be announced by the family and Nigeria football federation.
