Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Chelsea has reportedly expressed a desire to be a part of Arsenal's title challenge this season after struggling at Stamford Bridge, according to Arsenal hero Emmanuel Petit.

Aubameyang scored 92 goals in 163 games over the course of four successful years at Arsenal.

The Gabonese star aided Arsenal's FA Cup triumph and run to the Europa League championship game.

However, Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, effectively exiled him before selling him to Barcelona in January 2022.

“I said at the start of the season when they bought him [Aubameyang] it looked like a panic buy,” Petit told Sporting Post.
“Aubameyang is still a quality striker, but he isn’t what he used to be."
“I think he lost his passion, and I think after his spell at Barcelona, he can see what Arsenal are doing without him, what Jesus and Nketiah are doing."
“Maybe he is thinking if he had the right attitude, he could be part of what is going on there. “
