The Senegalese team showed class on Tuesday afternoon when they took on Poland in Tue ongoing world cup in Russia.

All hope was lost for the Africans, after the major team focused on to make the continent proud have all lost their first game.

Nigeria had the loudest noise, starting from jersey and different support they got from foreign medias, but it was unfortunate for the west African team, loosing their first game by a 2-0 margin, when they faced Croatia in their opening game.

Salah's Egyptian team was next in line, as all eyes were set on the premier league highest goal scorer and record breaker, Mohammed Sallah, but Sallah was not on show when they Egyptians faced Uruguay. The Egyptians fought hard but they succumbed through a last minute header from an Uruguayan defender. Africans we're still hoping Morocco could salvage a draw or win against the Arabians, but an own goal cost them a win. The inspiring Tunisian side facing the English team was another disappointment, although the Tunisians were well composed and they played a fantastic football but couldn't keep out Harry Kane's last-minute header to make England edge them with a 2-1 win.

Then came Senegal, the last hope for the continent and they surprised the world by defeating Lewandoski's Poland side by a 2-1 goal margin. The Senegalese team headed by Renard were a well composed team from back line to the front throughout the whole game, they play with much tenacity and determination and it thus paid off. Africans will be focusing more on Senegal to do the impossible and probably lifting the trophy.
