Didier Drogba, a former player for Chelsea, praised the Teranga Lions of Senegal for making it through to the next stage of the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Tuesday's game saw Senegal defeat Ecuador 2-1 with goals from Ismaila Sarr and Kalidou Koulibaly.
Senegal earned six points from three games to finish second in Group A, according to the outcome.
The Three Lions of England will play the West African giants on Sunday.
After the game, Drogba responded by tweeting, "Congratulations @FootballSenegal for qualifying, no doubt Bouba Diop is proud of you from above 2002-2022 @FIFAWorldCup," under his Twitter handle.
