Serie A: Chelsea scouts impressed with Osimhen’s performance against Roma
In Sunday night’s 1-0 win against AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico, Napoli forward Victor Osimhen caught the eye of Chelsea scouts.
Osimhen scored the decisive goal for the Partenopei 10 minutes from time.
The 23-year-old outpaced England defender Chris Smalling to fire home from an impossible angle.
According to the Italian website, calciomercato.com, the Blues representatives were impressed with Osimhen’s performance in the game.
It will, however, be difficult for Chelsea to pry the Nigerian away from Napoli.
Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis will want around €100m for the 23-year-old.
Osimhen was linked with a move to Manchester United and Newcastle United this summer.
