On Friday, October 13, in Portimao, Portugal, an international friendly between the Nigerian Super Eagles and Saudi Arabia will take place.
The Estadio Municipal de Portimo, in the Algarve, is the home ground of Portimonense S.C. and can seat close to 10,000 spectators.
It will be the first encounter between Nigeria and South Arabia at the senior level.
The friendly is meant to prepare the Super Eagles for their 2023 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Crocodiles of Lesotho and the Warriors of Zimbabwe.
The Super Eagles will begin their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying race with a home fixture against Lesotho on November 13 in Uyo.
Jose Peseiro’s team will travel to Harare four days later for their second game.
