Super eagles of Nigeria played a friendly match with the 3rd placed Dr Congo in the African ranking on Monday night in Port-Haccourt.
The friendly marked the last friendly the eagles will play on home soil before moving to England to play the three lions of England.
The Eagles started with major first eleven players but in the absence of captain Mikel who was on the bench, Victor Moses who hasn't been in camp, Ighalo, and Iwobi who later came in in the 2nd half. Dr Congo was more impressive in both halves, although Nigeria got the best of them in the 6th minute through Troost Ekong's goal, but afterwards, Dr Congo has been a threat in the goal area before grabbing an equalizer in the 75th minute, through a penalty.
Nigeria had the infusion of new players who hadn't played with the team, in the name of Junior Lokosa and Simy Nwankwo. Both players played well, although Nwankwo seems to be more threat at the goal area with his dazzling skills. With this friendly, Nigeria will be looking forward to taking on England on Friday and Czech republic on Wednesday, 6th of match. Coach Genot Rohr is expected to release his 25man list before the England match.
