The French Professional Players Union has nominated Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie for the best goalkeeper award in the D1 Arkema League.
For the individual trophy, Nnadozie will compete against Mylene Chavas of Girondis Bordeaux, Christiane Endler of Olympique Lyon, Cosette Morche of GPSO 92 ISSY, and Barbora Votikova of Paris Saint-Germain.
This season, the 21-year-old has 13 clean sheets in 19 league games for Paris FC in France's top division.
The goalkeeper's heroics have also helped Paris FC qualify for the UEFA Women's Champions League next season.
Nnadozie joined Paris FC from Rivers Angels in Nigeria in 2020 and has played 34 league games for the club.
She is the youngest goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, a feat she achieved against Korea in France in 2019, aged 18 and 186 days. The Super Falcons won the game by 2-0.
In December 2021, she was named the seventh-best goalkeeper in the world by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
