Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has hailed midfielder Martin Odegaard, suggesting that the Norwegian is the reason why the Gunners recently defeated Chelsea 4-0 in a pre-season Florida Cup final.

Parlour believes Odegaard is a real example at Arsenal, adding that he gives Mikel Arteta’s side extra energy in the midfield.

Odegaard impressed for the Gunners last season following a £31.5 million move from Real Madrid in the summer.

He made 40 appearances for the North London club, scoring seven goals whilst contributing five assists.
