According to Ian Wright, a former Arsenal player, Manchester United's main issue this season is their inability to advance.

He observed that there is still a lot of passing going sideways and insufficient movement up front.

The former striker pointed out that as a result, the team is not producing enough significant chances to win games.

At Old Trafford, Erik ten Hag's team plays host to Chelsea on Saturday night and Tottenham on Wednesday.

Wright also believes that their main issue is that they aren't posing enough of a threat to the opposing team's goal.

They've only had, oh, 42 shots on target or something like that up to this point in the season. The ex-forward declared on The Kelly and Wrighty Show that "it's not enough for Manchester United."
They are creating opportunities, so it is simultaneously slowly approaching. That will come with the confidence of what you’re seeing day to-day in training.
Things are starting to happen, and you can see a little bit of it on the pitch. You can see they’re still trying to get there.
When you’re trying something but don’t get the outcome as it happens, you start to think I don’t want to try that anymore. You’re a little bit apprehensive about doing it rather than just trying it.
“That’s what United have to do. They have to break through something." There’s still a lot of sideways passing, not enough movement up front to come to the ball so you can pass through lines.
