The eight seeded teams for the 2022 World Cup finals were announced on Friday.
This follows Portugal's UEFA playoff victory over North Macedonia on Tuesday, which confirmed their inclusion in the tournament.
According to the next FIFA World Ranking, which will be formally released on Thursday ahead of the draw, Pot 1 will comprise hosts Qatar, as well as the strongest seven countries to have qualified for the finals.
Pot 1 teams:
Qatar
Brazil
Belgium
France
Argentina
England
Spain
Portugal
Heavyweights Germany and the Netherlands, as well as Denmark, Switzerland, Croatia, and Uruguay, will be put in Pot 2 and will likely face a difficult group for the finals, which will be hosted in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.
The remaining pots will not be determined until the conclusion of CONCACAF qualifying on Wednesday. Mexico and the United States will both be placed in Pot 2 if they win the final two automatic spots, as expected.
