Aston Villa has initiated discussions with Kelechi Iheanacho's representatives for a potential summer transfer, as reported by Football Insider.
According to sources, Villa's transfer head, Ramon Monchi, met with Iheanacho's team in Greece ahead of their UEFA Europa Conference League match against Olympiacos on Thursday.
Iheanacho is poised to depart Leicester City after rejecting their latest contract offer. His current deal is set to expire at the end of June.
Despite having Ollie Watkins and Jhon Duran in their attacking lineup, Aston Villa is eager to bolster their firepower.
Last season, Iheanacho found the net five times in 23 Premier League appearances for the Foxes.
The Nigerian forward joined Leicester City from Manchester City in 2017.
