Nigerian forward, Victor Moses is happy to have spent five years as a Chelsea player.Last week marked the fifth anniversary of Moses joining and he is fulfilled to be a key player for the Premier League champions, who have sent him out on loan thrice: to Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham.

“It does feel like yesterday to be honest,” Moses, who joined from Wigan in 2012, told Chelsea’s official website on Sunday.
“I am glad to still be here and I am enjoying every single bit of my football at the moment. I just want to keep on going. The most important thing is helping my team-mates when we are on the pitch and make sure we win as many games as we can. This season is going to be a very difficult season but we have to do the best to make sure everyone is happy, the fans, the club, everyone.”

Chelsea faced Everton at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in what was Moses’ first home match of the season after he missed the 3-2 Premier League defeat to Burnley through suspension.
“It is always nice to start the home season, the first game at Stamford Bridge for me, and it will be nice to get three points,” he added.

Victor Moses says he is relishing playing as a wing-back for Chelsea this season after struggling to hit the ground running since joining the Blues in 2012.

Moses opened up on the clubs website on why he has thrived as a wing-back despite having never played in that role before and credits his outstanding performance to his Italian manager at the club, Antonio Conte.

The 25-year-old has featured in eight Premier League matches for Chelsea, including in their last three against Hull City, Leicester City and Manchester United which they have won without conceding.

The Nigeria international said he was only focused on improving as a wing-back in Chelseas 3-4-3 formation.

He said, I have not played there before. I have just got to listen to what the manager asks me to do in that position and the way he wants me to do it.

Its very important to understand your teammates; so, every game we played, I just want to keep on improving.

The more games you play, the more experience you get in that position and Im really relishing and enjoying it at the moment.

I have got Azpilicueta there, the spare right-back, who is behind me and he communicates with me and really helps me out to make sure I am in the right position.

Its very good to link up with Pedro and Willian too. They know when its time for me to go or when not to go.

We speak to each other and we look at each others movement to make sure we are doing the right thing on the pitch.

He stated that the clubs performance in recent matches was due to serious work as a unit in training.

The former Wigan Athletic player hopes they can keep the momentum going in subsequent matches.

Victor Moses has become one of the best wing-backs in the world under the guidance of Antonio Conte, according to Jamie Redknapp. Victor Moses Moses suffered a hamstring injury during Chelsea’s defeat to Palace in September and only returned to Conte’s side as a substitute during the narrow win over Swansea last week.

The Nigeria international was handed his first start in Saturday’s win over Newcastle and set up Alvaro Morata with a teasing cross in front of the defence before later winning a penalty. And Redknapp believes Moses has “taught himself” to be one of the best wing-backs in the game. “He missed a large chunk of the season with a hamstring [injury],” Redknapp told Sky Sports

. “He makes a huge difference. With the system they play with wing-backs, he’s taught himself – and the manager’s obviously helped him – to be one of the best wing-backs in world football. “It suits him that position, and there’s no surprise that he was involved with the penalty, he’s involved with the goal. I thought he was brilliant [against Newcastle] and he is top class.”
