Spartak Moscow hailed their winger Victor Moses following Sunday’s Russian Cup final win against city rivals Dinamo Moscow.
The People’s Team defeated Dinamo Moscow 2-1 in the keenly contested tie to win their first Russian Cup since 2003.
Moses was in action for the entire duration of the game.
It was the former Nigerian international’s first major honour with the Red and Whites since linking up with the club on a permanent deal from Chelsea in July 2021.
Commenting on Moses’ performance, the club wrote on Twitter: “Another trophy for Victor Moses. What an exemplary footballer."
“My hero.“
Moses scored three goals and provided five assists in 34 appearances in all competitions for Spartak Moscow this season.
