Spartak Moscow is willing to trade ex-Chelsea forward Victor Moses to Burnley in the Premier League in order to dump his hefty wages.

Sergei Kiriakov, a former Russian international, made this assertion.

Moses had agreed terms with Burnley, but the intended transfer was prohibited by the English Premier League (EPL) in order to safeguard the division's sporting integrity.

Following the outbreak of hostilities between the two neighbors, FIFA and UEFA confirmed that European clubs could register players from the Russian and Ukrainian leagues.

Foreign players in Russia and Ukraine were permitted to put their contracts on hold until June and join another team.

"If the management truly wants to offload the payroll, then the player should be discharged," Kiriakov remarked to Sports.ru. "In this situation, everyone goes into economy mode." Now is not the time to keep players with large salaries.

"He was a key player, but he never became a superstar," Kiriakov continued. Moses was expected to deliver more. Spartak will be unaffected by his departure in the long run. Victor is the Red-Whites' top player, but he isn't much more. "
