Ex-Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has named his five favourite players outside Arsenal.

Wenger picked out Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah as his “favourite” and praised his “longevity”.

Salah has racked up 22 goals and 14 assists in the Premier League to help the Reds take control of the title race.

The 32-year-old also three goals and four assists in the Champions League ahead of the knockout phase.

He is currently the bookmakers’ favourite to win the Ballon d’Or later this year.

During a quickfire Q&A with Goal, Wenger was asked about the current top players in the game.

He replied: “Well outside of Arsenal I would say Salah, [Cole] Palmer, Vinicius [Junior], [Kylian] Mbappe.
“My favourite player is a guy like Salah because despite the longevity his career is still at the top.
“Then you have exciting players like [Lamine] Yamal and like Palmer.”
