American rapper Cardi B has made it clear that the recent TikTok ban in the United States won’t affect her career in any way.
The ban, which took effect on January 19, came after TikTok’s Chinese owners failed to comply with a law enacted by President Joe Biden in April 2024, mandating the sale of the platform.
In the wake of the ban, a social media user on X (formerly Twitter) with the handle @1lex took a swipe at TikTok-reliant artists, including Cardi B. The user tweeted:
“Now, all the female TikTok rappers gotta find real jobs. You first, @imcardib.”
However, Cardi B didn’t let the shade slide. She fired back with an epic response:
“Babe, I’m getting a $7 million offer to do my own vitamins. I can retire you from your flipping burger job by tomorrow. Thank me though; I’ve been helping you get your $8.99 Twitter check.”
The Grammy-winning rapper’s bold clapback has since gone viral, further solidifying her reputation for being unbothered and unstoppable, even in the face of controversy.
With lucrative endorsement deals and a thriving music career, Cardi B proves she’s built for more than just social media trends.
