Florence Okpe, the spokesperson for the FRSC in Ogun State, reported that the agency's operatives promptly responded to the scene, initiating rescue operations to attend to those affected by the crash. Fortunately, Okpe stated that there were no reported fatalities, with all 13 injured individuals receiving medical attention.

The vehicles involved in the crash included three trucks with the number plates KBT205XB, KJA230Y, and DUT35XE, along with a Toyota Corolla car registered as MUS793HM and a Toyota Hiace bus marked FG369-F20.

According to Okpe, the suspected causes of the crash were identified as road obstruction and speeding, leading to a loss of control over the vehicles.
