In order for Chelsea to win the Premier League championship under their manager, Graham Potter, striker Gabriel Agbonlahor, a former Aston Villa forward, has insisted that they must sign a talented striker.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was acquired by Chelsea from Barcelona during the summer transfer window.
Aubameyang, however, has not yet made an immediate impact at Chelsea.
The Gabonese star failed to score a goal in Chelsea’s Champions League 2-1 win against RB Salzburg on Tuesday night despite having a number of opportunities.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Agbonlahor said that Chelsea need a sharp striker to reinforce their front line as Aubameyang’s finishing is not yet convincing.
“The only missing part for Chelsea, I thought, was Aubameyang’s finishing.
“I felt the one where they had about 15 passes, and it got placed across to him from [Kai] Havertz. I felt like a sharp striker takes the right touch and dinks the keeper there, finishes it. Maybe that’s what Chelsea are missing to go for the title. "
