Napoli have confirmed their interest in signing Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho or Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi before the January transfer window deadline.
The Serie A club views both players as potential replacements for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has joined Paris Saint-Germain.
As quoted in The Standard, Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna said: “Karim Adeyemi and Alejandro Garnacho are two names that interest us, that we like. They are not the only ones; we will try to evaluate the opportunities.
“We will certainly not pay off-market prices. Kvara [Kvaratskhelia] must be replaced.
“We are not holding back. We also have other ideas, let’s see what happens in the next few days.”
Meanwhile, in another development, Chelsea on Sunday completed the signing of Naomi Girma from San Diego Wave.
Chelsea Women made the defender the world’s first $1 million women’s player.
A deal of around $1.1 million was settled between the two clubs, breaking the current record of $860,000 when Racheal Kundananji moved to Bay FC from Madrid CFF.
