Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, emphasized that the club's remarkable success is not merely a result of financial prowess, rebutting claims of monotony.

He also criticized other top Premier League teams for their failure to compete despite substantial investments.

Guardiola's comments come as Manchester City aims for an unprecedented fourth consecutive English league title, alongside the possibility of securing a domestic league and FA Cup double for the second successive season.

Ahead of their Tuesday clash with Tottenham, Guardiola pointed out that rivals like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal, despite their significant spending, have fallen short of challenging City for major trophies.

He said: “It’s not boring. It’s difficult.
“Before it was the money. For that reason, Manchester United should have won all the titles, Chelsea – all the titles, Arsenal – all the titles.
“They spent as much money in the last five years as us. They should be there. They are not there.”
