Breaking: PDP’s Lawal defeats Matawalle
Dauda Lawal of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been named the new governor of Zamfara State by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
To defeat Bello Matawalle of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who received 311,976 votes, Lawal received a total of 377,726 votes.
The early hours of Tuesday saw the declaration of his victory in Gusau, the state capital.
