At Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, a 200-level student identified as Chioma is accused of pouring hot water on the president of her hostel, Mark, a third-year Agricultural Economics student.



The unsettling event transpired on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Twins Fall Lodge in Ifite-Awka, following a disagreement between the two students regarding hostel cleaning responsibilities.

While specific details of the incident remain unclear, it has been reported that the altercation escalated to the point where Chioma allegedly stabbed Mark during the confrontation. In response to the severity of the injuries, Mark was promptly taken to a local hospital for urgent medical attention.


Valentine Mbadugha, a source on Facebook, shared the distressing news, shedding light on the troubling incident. The disagreement between Chioma and Mark reportedly originated from issues related to the cleanliness of the school hostel, where Mark served as the hostel president.
