Osun State's governor is up for election.

The focus is on the incumbent, Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, APC; Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; Lasun Yusuf of the Labour Party, LP; and Akin Ogunbiyi of the Accord Party, AP, despite the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, clearing 15 candidates.
There are 1,955,657 registered voters, according to INEC. The 30 local governments were covered by INEC's 332 registration areas, 5,305 Bimodal Voters' Accreditation System, 3,763 voting places, 332 ward collation centers, 30 LG collation centers, and a State Collation Center where the results will be officially announced.
In addition, 7,790 accredited field observers from 87 observer groups (7 domestic and 8 foreign) will be present during the election. 94 media outlets followed.
