With another elegant brace against Darmstadt, the forward repeated his two-goal performance from the previous week.

The Nigerian collected a pass following a superb counter-attacking move and dribbled past two defenders before sending the ball into the net.

Boniface scored his second of the game in the second half.

The 22-year-old has so far scored four goals and provided one assist in three league appearances for Die Werkself.

The striker joined Xabi Alonso’s side from Belgian Pro League club Union St Gilloise this summer.

He is in Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe.
