Chuba Akpom became the first player ever to score in nine consecutive Sky Bet Championship home games on Wednesday night.



Akpom scored the third goal as Middlesbrough rallied from a goal down to beat Hull City 3-1 at the Riverside Stadium.

The Nigeria-born forward fired an unstoppable shot into the net just past the hour mark.

The Arsenal trainee is the leading scorer in the Sky Bet Championship with 28 goals.

Boro, who sit in fourth position on the table, are targeting promotion to the English Premier League.

Michael Carrick’s side are fourth on the table with 74 points from 36 games.
