In order to stay in the Champions League, he will have to move. Sporting Lisbon are one of those interested. They will try and bring back the player after Ronaldo started his career with the team from Lisbon before joining Man Utd.

The Manchester United striker has a contract until June 2023 and the club will not put many obstacles in his way if he decides to leave. The other option for him is to go to Serie A side Roma, where Jose Mourinho is the manager.

However, at Roma, he would also be without the Champions League. Like Man Utd, they will also play in the Europa League next term. The Italians won the Conference League last season and it remains to be seen whether Cristiano Ronaldo and Mourinho will be reunited at Roma after their time together at Real Madrid.
