England will be without Raheem Sterling for their last-16 clash with Senegal at the 2022 World Cup.
The Football Association has confirmed Sterling is “dealing with a family matter."
The Chelsea forward started the 6-2 win over Iran and the 0-0 draw with the USA.
However, Gareth Southgate left him on the bench for the 3-0 win over Wales in their last group-stage game.
Sterling was expected to start against Senegal but is not even included in the matchday squad.
A statement from the FA read, “Raheem Sterling is not available for selection for the Three Lions tonight as he is dealing with a family matter.”
Harry Kane will be flanked by Foden and Bukayo Saka for the game against the Teranga Lions.
