Premier League legend, Alan Shearer, has blamed Chelsea midfielder, Jorginho, following their 2-0 defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup encounter on Monday night.
Goals from Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba gave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men all three points against Maurizio Sarri’s side at the Stamford Bridge.
Shearer blamed Jorginho for the first Man United goal, stressing that the Italy international didn’t do enough when the Blues are defending against the visitors.
“It’s a brilliant goal from a Man United perspective,” Shearer told BBC Sport. “Jorginho is a good passer of the ball and when Chelsea have the ball he’s a positive for the side. “When they don’t have the ball he’s a negative because he doesn’t smell danger.
“If Kante plays in that position Mata does not get that ball because he can smell danger and with his pace and his energy he gets around that pitch in front of the back four much better than Jorginho does.
“A positive when Chelsea have the ball but he’s a huge negative when they don’t have the ball. He doesn’t do enough when they’re defending.”
