Roberto Mancini, the former manager of Manchester City, has stated that he is eager to make history as the new manager of the Saudi Arabia national team.

On Sunday, Mancini committed to a four-year deal worth about €30 million annually.
This occurs not long after his resignation as the head coach of the Italy national team.
Reacting to his new appointment, Mancini said in a video posted on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter: “I made history in Europe; now it is time to make history with Saudi Arabia.”
The Italian added on his Twitter account: “I thank President Yasser Al Misehal.
“I am thrilled to have accepted this new project, which is based on sharing the strategic vision of growth in the football sector and in particular in the world of young people that I have always cared about.
“This assignment is a recognition of the value attributed to Italian football, and in this experience I will also proudly bring our Italian spirit to the world.”
