Rafael Everton and Henry Makinwa, two former Akwa United strategists, have submitted applications for the open coaching position with the El-Kanemi Warriors, Naijacrawl can exclusively reveal.

Everton, who has previously managed Vandrezzer FC of the Nigeria National League, wants to play in the Nigeria Premier Football League once more.

Also employed by Vanderbilt FC at the time was Makinwa.

A dependable insider with the team told Naijacrawl, "I can tell you right now that Makinwa and the Brazilian Everton have both expressed interest in the coaching position with the El Kanemi Warriors.

Following a string of disappointing results, the Maiduguri club fired their former head coach, Abubakar Hassan Mai Zubairu, on Thursday.

Only one victory has been recorded by El-Kanemi this season out of nine league games.
