Jadon Sancho has been told to train separately from Manchester United's first team as part of a "personal training program" while a "squad discipline issue" is addressed.
On Thursday, this was confirmed in a formal statement.
Sancho was left out of United manager Erik ten Hag's matchday squad for the team's trip to Arsenal on September 3.
After the match, Ten Hag explained that he took the decision due to the player’s poor attitude in training.
However, later the same day, Sancho took to social media to claim he had been “a scapegoat for a long time” and said Ten Hag’s claims were “completely untrue.”
This is not the first time the 23-year-old has been excluded from United training under Ten Hag, with the winger undergoing an individual fitness program in the Netherlands last season that saw him watch the World Cup from afar.
