3px;">The Frenchman Kylian Mbappe has acknowledged that Cameroon and Algeria, two nations in Africa, are a part of him and his true homeland.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker, who is currently serving as France's representative at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, asserts that he will never be able to deny his ancestry.
Mbappe was born in Paris, but his father, Wilfried, hails from Cameroon, while his beloved mother is Algerian by birth.
The player’s father once said he wanted him to play for the Indomitable Lions but was discouraged after an official demanded money.
But that has not affected Mbappe’s love for his African origin. He once stated that even though he is not playing for either Cameroon or Algeria, he will continue to support them.
He said:
“Cameroon and Algeria are a part of me. I support them both. My nationality is French but my origins are Algerian and Cameroonian. I cannot deny my origins and I am very happy”.
