On Sunday, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen tied George Weah's Serie A goal total from his time playing for AC Milan.
Osimhen's goal in Napoli's 2-0 Serie A victory over Sampdoria on Sunday night allowed him to tie Weah's record for goals.
After Weah with AC Milan (in 1995–1996–1997–1998 in three different Serie A seasons), Osimhen is now the second African player to score ten or more goals in three different Serie A seasons thanks to his goal against Sampdoria.
The season's first player to score ten goals in Serie A is Osimhen, 24, who is also 24 years old.
In the 19th minute against Sampdoria, the Nigerian international scored after Mario Rui set him up.
