Former England and Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe believes Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka is better than Manchester City’s Phil Foden.
Saka and Foden have taken the world by storm with their performances for their respective clubs over the last few years.
Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s “Vibe with FIVE” podcast, Defoe was asked to pick between the two England internationals.
He simply said, “[Bukayo] Saka.”
When asked if he would have had a different answer last season, Defoe added, “I don’t know, you know." I just think Saka’s a special player, and from what I hear, he is one of the nicest boys in the world, which is good for the changing room.
“But I love Foden." I love Foden, man; he is a special player. But I don’t know, I think Saka’s got a little bit more.”
