Victor Osimhen received high praise from Napoli manager Rudi Garcia for his patience during the team's Serie A match against Sassuolo on Saturday at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
The Serie A champions prevailed 2-0 to keep their unblemished record going this season.
From the penalty spot in the first half, Osimhen gave the Partenopei the lead.
It was the international player from Nigeria's 100th club goal.
After the break, Napoli was awarded another penalty, and Osimhen passed the ball to his teammate Giacomo Raspadori.
Raspadori, however, missed the penalty kick; however, the visitors' captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo scored a goal a short while later to secure the victory.
Garcia was impressed with Osimhen’s gesture to his teammate.
“That is a great sign, because it means he is thinking about the team and not just about himself. I loved that.
“Raspadori is an attacking player who can feature in any of the forward roles; he will score goals and get assists,” Garcia was quoted by DAZN.
Osimhen has scored three goals in two appearances for Napoli this season.
