Former Chelsea defender, Frank Leboeuf has urged the Blues to make a move for Victor Osimhen next January.

Osimhen has been in the news this week after Napoli posted a video on TikTok mocking him for missing a penalty in last weekend’s 0-0 draw at Bologna.

The forward reacted by deleting all of Napoli’s pictures and videos from his social media pages.

The 24-year-old’s agent Roberto Calenda has also threatened to take legal action against Napoli over the TikTok post.

Osimhen has less than two years remaining on his contract with Napoli and talks over an extension have slowed down in recent weeks.

The Nigeria international may be willing to leave Napoli amid all the controversy and Leboeuf has challenged his old club to bring the striker to Stamford Bridge when the transfer window reopens in January.

“Chelsea need a striker and an experienced midfielder. I said last season that Mitrovic would be good – he’s not world-class, but he’s a leader and a fighter,” Leboeuf told Casinos En Ligne.
“Victor Osimhen is having problems at Napoli, and maybe Chelsea can go for him in January. There’s also Nantes’ Mostafa Mohamed – I think he could do a good job.
“Chelsea also needs help in midfield, someone like Toni Kross or Luka Modric. They may be older and not play as many games, but they could definitely serve the club well.”
