As reported by the Naijacrawl, Ayra Starr has been honored with nominations in three prestigious categories: Best New Artist, Best International Act, and Best Her for her hit track ‘Commas.’

She wrote, “Mobstarrs [collective name for her fans]!!! ‘Commas’ just dropped this year, but it’s already holding it down for Afrobeats with a BET nomination. 3 nominations is crazyy ! Wow”

In the Best New Act category, Ayra Starr will once again face off against Tyla and Raye, along with Sexyy Red, Fridayy, October London, and more.

The highly coveted Best Her category will see Starr go head-to-head with global superstars such as Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, SZA, Megan Thee Stallion, and Victoria Monét.

The 2024 BET Awards will take place on June 30th at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California.
