Innocent Ujah Idibia, aka 2Baba, a legendary musician from Nigeria, has chastised his countrymen for worrying too much about his family.

The singer of African Queen acknowledged that despite acting as though he has developed a thick skin over the years, he still experiences pain occasionally.

The father of seven bemoaned the fact that Nigerians who implied he was a deadbeat parent to his kids had never offered to pay for any of their school expenses.

This was said by 2Baba during an appearance on the most recent Afrobeats podcast episode, which is hosted by British-Nigerian media personality Adesope Olajide.

He said, “Many people talk about kids, fatherhood, motherhood, all that whole circle. Many people talk about it with a public opinion type of thinking. But it’s deeper than that. There’s nobody who has the exact blueprint for this thing.
“The basic truth of the whole matter is the connection with you and your little ones [children]. There are so many different ways to find it. There’s no one rule or one particular way.
“I speak to my kinds like they are my mates. I don’t boss them around. I talk to them the way I talk to my friends and mom.
“I get a lot of jabs [from trolls]. I've had a lot of people say stuff about me. People have trolled me several times on social media. and sometimes it hurts. Sometimes some people will just go on social media to say rubbish. It’s just like terrorists bombing innocent people.
“And I will start wondering how till today, none of those critics the way they are concerned about my family come to assist in paying my children’s school fees. Not even a single soul.”

The Daily Post recalls that in 2012, 2Baba wed actress Annie Macaulay, one of his three baby mothers, in a secret ceremony.

The marriage has recently been dogged by scandals, with Annie charging that 2Baba's first baby mother, Pero Adeniyi, is still having an illicit relationship with the singer.

The singer has also allegedly been accused of having an extramarital affair and being a deadbeat parent to some of his kids, according to rumors.

However, all of the rumors have since been refuted by 2Baba.
