Nigeria's Super Eagles were insulted by Ghanaian celebrities John Dumelo and Shatta Wale after losing to Ghana on the away goal rule in a 2022 FIFA World Cup double-leg play-off match.

On Tuesday evening, the Black Stars drew 1-1 with the Super Eagles at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja to qualify for this year's World Cup in Qatar.

Last Friday in Kumasi, both teams drew 0-0 in the first leg.

The match's goals were scored by Thomas Partey and William Troost Ekong on Tuesday.

In a message on his Facebook page after the match, Dumelo mocked the Super Eagles in a message while applauding the Black Stars.

The result of the game, according to the Ghanaian actor, confirmed his initial designation of the Nigerian team as "Super Chickens."

"I said they were Super Chickens!!!!" "Congratulations, black stars!" Dumelo penned it.

Wale, for one, used his Twitter account to criticize Nigerians in a brief audio clip captioned "Don't try Ghana."
