Controversial Nigerian musician Seun Kuti recently sparked a debate on monogamy, suggesting it "doesn't work" and advocating for polygamy instead.

In a conversation on the 'Bahd & Boujee' podcast, Seun asserted, "Monogamy doesn't work. As a powerful man, you need the support of numerous powerful goddesses, women placed in your life by the ancestors. You share a connection with them."

Highlighting the lifestyle of his late father and Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Seun mentioned Fela's extensive relationships, which included over 100 concubines despite marrying 27 women in one ceremony.
