The BBNaija star recently gained popularity due to rumors that he had signed a deal with EME.
In a video, Banky W refuted the online rumors that claimed he signed Whitemoney to Empire Mates Entertainment.
In a recent interview with Hot FM Lagos, he categorically denied the rumors and stated that he did not sign the reality TV star.
The musician claimed that EME changed from being a record label to a media and marketing company in 2017. He claimed to have recently helped Whitemoney secure an ambassadorial agreement with a company that it counsels.
Banky made sure to emphasize that the deal was only for an influencer campaign for one of the corporate businesses that EME works with.
Recall, numerous rumors circulated a few weeks ago that Whitemoney had been signed as an artist to the EME record company, led by Banky W, as a result of a tweet Whitemoney made.
The ambiguous nature of the caption is what made a lot of people mistake it as the artist being signed to the record label.
"Now that we are in good hands, let the music flow." EGWU & YOU BAD drops: 23/09/22 "Are You Ready?" he wrote on Twitter.
Since winning the Big Brother Naija show, Whitemoney has released up to four songs, Egwu & You Bad being the most recent.
