Twelve out of the twenty-five students from Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, who were arraigned before the Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for the alleged murder of fellow student Akro Jeffery, a prince in the Warri kingdom, were discharged on Monday, July 1.
The students had initially faced charges of conspiracy, murder, and negligence following their court appearance on June 5. Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Ogunkanmi adjourned the case for further mention until July 8.
