Barely a week that a priest was kidnapped in Abia state, some gunmen abducted another Catholic priest named Rev.
Fr. Christopher Onotu, the parish priest of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Obangede, Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The Gunmen invaded the church at about 9 pm on Saturday, June 4, entered the priest’s bedroom through the window and whisked him away to an unknown destination.
It was gathered that members of the church found out about the incident on Sunday morning when they arrived for the first mass. It is reported that the abductors went away with the priest’s car.
Eyewitness reports have it that the gunmen dropped his two mobiles but went with the sim cards.
Gunmen attacks have been plaguing the activities in the central senatorial district of the state has had residents panicking for the last few weeks." a source said.
